2010 " Get Cooking"Programme

The aims of Soundbite Nigeria are to get children, teenagers and adults cooking in Lagos. With such diverse ingredients and produce available in the city it is not only a life skill but a necessity for health and well being, and of course a sociable and pleasurable experience for all. Jane Luxmoore the C.E.O of Soundbite Cookery School has been working within the food profession for 20 years, working with Food in the Education sector, schools and Institutes and the Industry from Austria to Ghana.
Soundbite Nigeria run cookery workshops for all ages they also offer training to those working in the catering, food Industry to help them develop their skills in western Cuisine and brush up on past knowledge. ADULTS
Times: 10.30am – 4pm, includes lunch and refreshments
Costs: 1 x day = N20, 000.00. 2 x day = N35, 000.00 – concessions for parties of 3 (N15, 000.00 for 1 day and N30, 000.00 for 2 days)

Dates:
Saturday 20th March:  Western Cuisine – Learn the art of cooking an English Roast dinner with homemade gravy, Lasagne – making the meat and white sauce from scratch, Coq au Vin (traditional French chicken dish cooked in wine) and Traditional English Roly poly pudding. A lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Sat 27th March: Chinese and Thai Cuisine: Learn the art of cooking Sweet and Sour dishes, chow mein, Thai green curry, and stir fires and traditional apple pie. Lunch and refreshments provided.

All dishes cooked can be taken home on both sessions and recipe packs will be provided.

CHILDREN:
Fun Attic and Soundbite Cookery School from the U.K present 
Easter Activities: A children’s’, Food, Health and fitness week.

Time : 10am -4pm. Lunch and refreshments provided every day.
Package Costs: N20, 000.00 per child

March 2010:
Mon 29th:  Easter bread making day – Sweet and savoury breads - Hot cross buns, Bread making and pizza making. Recipe packs provided. All dishes cooked can be taken home.

Tues 30th: Easter Treats - Easter Truffles, Easter Cup cakes, Easter biscuits and choc chip cookies. . Recipe packs provided. All dishes cooked can be taken home.

Weds 31st:  Excursion to a local food producer in Lagos with a packed lunch provided

Thurs 1st April: Health and Fitness day: A day of swimming and tennis activities under instruction and a healthy picnic lunch.
